Pay Range: $30/hr - $36/hr . The pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • A typical day at client in an aviation-related role, such as a Logistics Specialist, often involves a combination of coordination, communication, and hands-on activities to support aerospace projects and operations.
  • The day might start with reviewing inventory levels, shipment schedules, and pending procurement requests to ensure all materials and parts are on track for production or maintenance.
  • You could be coordinating with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams to track shipments, resolve any delays, and update logistics documentation.
  • Throughout the day, you might handle receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, prepare shipping documentation for outgoing materials, and ensure compliance with security and safety protocols. Meetings with engineering, manufacturing, or security teams are common to discuss project timelines, inventory needs, or process improvements.
  • The role requires staying organized, responding quickly to unexpected issues, and maintaining detailed records to support seamless operations in a highly regulated aviation environment.
  • Overall, it’s a busy, detail-oriented day focused on ensuring that aerospace systems are delivered efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role.
  • Professional certification such as APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or CSCA.
  • Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
  • Proven experience in a supply chain role, preferably in the same industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret complex data, understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry- specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures the retention of material and supplies for future use and in support of production and/or engineering.
  • Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of physical records.
  • Provides transportation of material and correspondence within the local client business environment.
  • Maintains functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manages, develops, or conducts delivery in accordance with established local business policies, procedures, and public law.
  • Ensures accuracy of delivery information.
  • Ensures: finished goods inventories, non-proprietary government property inventory, transportation, import/export requirements, and customer returns in conjunction with business area personnel.
