Job Title: Supply Chain Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop a team of Buyers, Engineering Production Services, Quoting Specialists, and Proposal Administrators. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, enhancing supplier relationships, and ensuring on-time production while minimizing inventory on hand. You will drive continuous improvement by providing the management team with accurate data and metrics and by exploring new suppliers and processes. Responsibilities Effectively manage, evaluate, and coach a diverse team to achieve established goals and metrics. Develop team members with a focus on professional development and track progress. Maintain and optimize inventory levels to ensure timely production. Drive programs for exploring new suppliers and processes to achieve optimum quality, reliability, price, continuity, and delivery. Provide management with accurate and relevant data/metrics for continuous improvement and informed decision-making. Stay current on industry trends and inform team members of potential issues or changes. Manage the Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP). Lead supplier negotiations and track quality, price, and delivery metrics. Modify processes for shipping, receiving, transport, and inventory control to reduce waste and increase throughput. Collaborate with Program Managers to plan and forecast customer orders. Ensure compliance with company standard practices and procedures for all materials and department functions. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Five years of directly related supply chain management experience in the manufacturing industry. (MUST BE ELECTRONICS) Proficiency in inventory control, logistics, materials requirement planning, supply chains, contract negotiations, and purchasing. Prior supervisory experience with strong people management skills. High level of comfort with supply chain and inventory management systems. Extreme proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Work Environment This position requires 100% onsite work from 8 AM to 5 PM. The work environment is highly autonomous, and the individual is expected to work independently and hit the ground running. The role involves managing a team and reporting directly to the VP of Operations. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Frederick, MD.
