Description
Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in ensuring reliable product supply and developing all required for new products and MAT products through effective supply chain activities. This role acts as a key liaison with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) and oversea manufacturing facilities, supports warehouse and logistics. Key Responsibilities: Ensure stable product supply by managing CMOs effectively. Develop short-term and long-term CMO strategies, including evaluation and selection of appropriate partners. Negotiate pricing with CMOs and packaging suppliers in alignment with company objectives. Design, implement and optimize order processes with CMOs Negotiate with overseas manufacturing facilities on production and delivery schedules Develop all required packaging materials (e.g., packaging box, shipper box, label etc.) Prepare, update and manage contracts for CMOs and draft agreements for new CMOs. Support Logistics, Warehouse, Forecasting, and Wholesaler teams to ensure smooth operations. Participate in pipeline and cross functional projects that drive supply chain efficiency and business growth. Major Tasks & Activities Manage CMOs and all materials costs in alignment with company policies ang governance. Create and maintain accurate pricing documentation for CMOs and packaging suppliers. Issue and process invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Manage product shortages or constrained supply situations, including communication and mitigation planning. Develop artworks for required packaging of new and MAT products, ensuring timely delivery. Collaborate with QA team on quality issues, product returns and corrective action processes. Lead and facilitate regular meetings with CMOs and oversea manufacturing facilities to strengthen partnerships. Utilize and maintain key operational systems such as JD-Net, Feeler, and X3 for operational efficiency. Experience: 10+ years of experience managing supply chain activities within the pharmaceutical industry. 5+ years of experience collaborating with or managing logistics and/or warehouse management teams. Working in a manufacturing environment is preferable. Language: Native Japanese, and business English communication skills (writing and speaking) Desired Attitudes: Cooperative and able to build strong cross‑functional relationships.
