To support our ongoing growth, we are now looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team at our Madrid site (formerly Exeltainer). Job Description and Responsibility: Summary: The Supply Chain Manager oversees activities related to Purchasing, Supplier Management, Production Planning, and Inventory Management, as well as logistics coordination and transportation, in order to ensure that materials and supplies are available in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet the company’s changing product demand levels. The role also participates in the development and implementation of international sourcing strategies. Primary Responsibilities: Manage activities related to purchasing, materials planning, inventory control, warehousing and receiving, as well as transportation and logistics. Establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support customer service goals while minimizing inventory investment at assigned sites. Develop master production schedules and material plans based on sales forecasts and historical data. Support and/or lead supplier contract and pricing negotiations, selecting the best suppliers and ensuring optimal pricing and quality of raw materials. Manage transportation operations. Support and manage major sourcing events (RFPs) for key materials. Lead material cost reduction initiatives. Evaluate, select, and monitor suppliers in collaboration with the Quality and Engineering departments. Generate material cost estimates for new and custom products. Develop and manage material plans for new products during launch and production ramp-up. Maintain accurate material costs within the system. Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Communicate clearly and regularly with other departments regarding the status of key material-related matters. Lead, coach, and motivate the team. Implement and leverage management systems and information technologies to improve visibility and control. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, or another related or applicable field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in purchasing, planning, inventory, and logistics; including at least 2 years in management role. Proven success in managing and reducing costs through purchasing and sourcing programs. Demonstrated success in implementing advanced system-based material and production planning techniques. Experience and knowledge in International Logistics. Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate work to subordinates and evaluate and positively influence performance. Management style that aligns with the company’s high-integrity culture across all areas of internal and external business operations. Experience managing new product introductions (NPI). Experience in data collection and analysis to support decision-making. Working knowledge of ISO regulatory guidelines and quality systems. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work positively and collaboratively with others. Highly motivated, hands-on, innovative, able to work with minimal supervision, with strong problem-solving, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan, manage, and implement multiple projects from concept through completion. Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities. Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). English proficiency at C1 level is required. Occasional travel to supplier locations and manufacturing facilities may be required. Experience in a cGMP environment is a plus.
