Description

Job title: Supply Chain Manager Construction
Location: Preston, Samlesbury or Warton

Salary: Up to £89,000 depending on skills and experience. Car Allowance £510 per month, 12.5% bonus.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • Experience in a Supply Chain, Commercial Construction or Managing /Senior Quantity Surveying role
  • Experienced of working in a prime contractor, client or consultancy type role/s
  • MRICS qualified or Equivalent
  • Detailed knowledge of JCT and NEC Construction contracts
  • Significant experience in the development and implementation of Programme and Portfolio strategies for construction works
  • Ability to deal with complex programmes, pre and post contract management, incentivisation etc
  • An understanding of business and procurement approaches, techniques, processes, policy and strategy

Desirable:

  • Client side experience
  • Experience of managing and developing a team
Responsibilities
  • Leading on the management of our external supply chain which consists of, PMO, prime contractors, design services and associated professional services
  • Managing Framework Agreements under an agreed SRM process
  • Responsibility for commercial matters from project inception through procurement strategy, estimating, tender, negotiation, contract administration and contract closure
  • Leading supplier Relationship Management tools. Ensuring that supplier and sourcing reviews are carried out, suppliers are monitored and managed and where appropriate alternative sources are identified that are to the further benefit of the business
  • Managing the integration of strategic solutions, aligned to business needs. Contributing to the determination of a longer term strategy and implementing plans and actions for areas of responsibility such that the strategy is realised
