Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to oversee and enhance our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics, inventory control, procurement, and demand planning to ensure efficient and effective supply chain processes. This person can be located in Cranberry Township, PA or in Carson City, Nevada.

POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationship management. Bring a strategic mindset and deep understanding of supply chain systems to support production goals while minimizing costs and ensuring quality and delivery standards.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or APICS/CSCP certification a plus).
  • 7+ years of supply chain management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing global supply chains and international suppliers.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, production planning, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., GSS, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and assisting managers in negotiating contracts and pricing.
  • Demonstrate proficient computer skills including ERP systems or maintenance planning systems.
  • Effective leadership and project management experience required.
  • Ability to consistently maintain positive relationships.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with production, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Procurement & Supplier Management: Source and manage vendors for raw materials, components, and services. Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  • Production Planning: Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to align material availability with production schedules and customer demand.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock. Implement inventory tracking systems and conduct regular audits.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution planning.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes, including cost reduction, lead time improvement, and automation.
  • ERP System Management: Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage supply chain data, forecasting, order tracking, and performance metrics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and finance teams to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
