Position Summary
The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and execution of all supply chain activities across Hansen Industries and Overlanders Manufacturing. This role will oversee purchasing, inventory management, supplier management, subcontracting operations, material planning, logistics, and supply chain optimization.
The successful candidate will lead a team of supply chain and purchasing professionals across both organizations, ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and cost competitiveness while supporting business growth, customer delivery requirements, and operational excellence.
This position plays a key role in developing strategic supplier partnerships, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and optimizing total supply chain costs across both businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Leadership
- Develop and execute a unified supply chain strategy for Hansen Industries and Overlanders Manufacturing.
- Lead and manage all purchasing, supply chain, inventory control, materials management, and subcontracting activities across both businesses.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing supply chain teams.
- Establish supply chain KPIs and monitor performance against operational and financial targets.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing
- Develop sourcing strategies that ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and long-term supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and supply agreements with key suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and performance management processes.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
Inventory Management
- Establish inventory strategies that balance customer service levels with inventory investment.
- Monitor inventory turns, excess inventory, stockouts, and working capital performance.
- Implement inventory control processes and system improvements to improve accuracy and visibility.
- Drive cycle count and inventory accuracy programs across both facilities.

Dan-D Foods is a leading importer, manufacturer, and distributor of premium nuts, dried fruits, seeds, spices, and healthy snacks across North America. With manufacturing partners in Vietnam and a growing global supply network, we are expanding our supply chain capabilities to support continued growth and operational excellence.
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our Canadian supply chain function. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving purchasing strategy, production planning, inventory optimization, logistics, and continuous cost improvement across our international supply chain.
What You'll Do
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end supply chain while working closely with our purchasing team in Canada, manufacturing team in Vietnam, logistics providers, and internal Sales, Operations, and Finance teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that improve service levels while reducing overall costs.
- Lead purchasing planning for Canadian operations and provide strategic direction to offshore procurement activities.
- Collaborate with our Vietnam manufacturing team on production planning, capacity planning, and material availability.
- Forecast inventory requirements and establish optimal inventory levels across multiple product categories.
- Analyze commodity markets and raw material trends to support sourcing decisions and cost management.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and process improvement.
- Manage international logistics, ocean freight, customs coordination, warehousing, and transportation performance.
- Monitor inventory turns, forecast accuracy, supplier performance, and supply chain KPIs.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Finance to balance customer demand with supply capabilities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supply chain efficiency, resilience, and scalability.
- Coach and support junior purchasing team members while helping establish best practices and standardized processes.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, or Operations.
- Experience managing international supply chains, preferably across Asia and North America.
- Strong understanding of commodity purchasing and market dynamics.
- Experience with production planning, demand planning, inventory management, and supply planning.
- Knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, customs, and import/export processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound business decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- CPIM, CSCP, SCMP, or similar supply chain certification is considered an asset.
