Description Reports To The Supply Chain Manager will report to the Executive Vice President. Job Summary The Supply Chain Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Procurement department as well as develop a strategic plan for sourcing including relationships with suppliers. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee EP²’s supply chain including supplier evaluation, pricing negotiation, delivery scheduling, and inventory management. Responsibilities and Duties Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that optimizes project cost quotation accuracy, incoming material flow and timing, supplier performance, and production readiness. Oversee procurement activities and develop procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing, supplier reliability, and alignment with project schedules and specifications. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of procurement professionals and foster accountability, collaboration and teamwork. Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to synchronize material needs with production timelines. Monitor inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock is maintained for all necessary supplies and materials while avoiding overstocking and minimizing waste. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Analyze supply chain performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements. Identify potential schedule disruptions and develop a contingency plan. Partner with internal teams (quotations/estimating, sales, operations, and finance) to align supply chain strategies with business objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements as well as requirements of customers. Ensure suppliers are reliable, cost-effective, and meet the company’s quality standards. Monitor supplier performance to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Provide insights, scenario modeling, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Requirements Skills Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes including inventory optimization, safety stock modeling, and supply chain risk management. Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience with proven success in supplier relationship management within manufacturing, preferably in engineered-to-order industries. Proven experience leading and managing a team. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced data analysis experience with statistical forecasting tools is a plus. Physical Requirements Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer. Continuous speaking, hearing, and visual (including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) effort. Stand, walk, bend, reach, or otherwise move about regularly. Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
