Role Description The Replenishment Buyer will manage the procurement and execution of material requirements planning. This role maintains material availability for production while balancing working capital and warehousing constraints. This is a full-time on-site role based in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Replenishment Buyer will handle day-to-day tasks such as managing purchase orders, overseeing inventory management, and maintaining inventory control. Additionally, the Replenishment Buyer will analyze data and trends to ensure optimal stock levels and collaborate with various departments to meet production needs. Position Responsibilities: Manage daily and weekly replenishment orders to maintain stock levels. Track product demand and usage patterns to forecast future inventory needs. Monitor open purchase orders, ensure timely deliveries, and resolve delays with vendors. Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers. Coordinate with warehouse and production planning on incoming goods and stock issues. Provide occasional front desk coverage and administrative assistance as needed. Monitor supply plans to identify changes and to determine their effect on material requirements schedules. Report on out-of-stock materials, excess items, and slow-moving inventory. Analyze supplier performance, and inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or optimize customer service. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain, material management, procurement, or demand/supply planning (food manufacturing experience a plus). Proven experience with inventory management and purchase order processes. Strong understanding of inventory control processes and supply chain operations. Experience using an ERP system for planning, reporting, and analysis. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with multiple teams. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and take ownership of supply chain initiatives.
