Supply Chain Manager – Metro Transport Pty Ltd

Location: Sydney, NSW

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain operations across procurement, inventory, logistics, warehousing and distribution. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving efficiency, reducing costs and ensuring high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, from procurement through to delivery.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead demand and supply planning, forecasting and inventory management.
  • Manage suppliers, contracts, purchasing and supplier performance.
  • Oversee logistics, warehousing and distribution activities.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare regular supply chain performance reports.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, operations and production teams.
  • Manage supply risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Lead, coach and develop supply chain and logistics team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements and relevant Australian regulations.

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics or operations management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory, purchasing, forecasting and logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline is advantageous.
