Die Stelle | Supply Chain Manager – Europe (m/w/d)

Position summary  |


The Supply Chain Manager (Europe) is responsible for managing procurement, supplier relationships, and all  supply chain - related operational activities in Europe. This position ensures cost optimization, security of supply, contract compliance, and accurate data maintenance, and acts as a central interface between suppliers, internal stakeholders,  shared  service centers, and external auditors.

Your tasks  |


Leadership and management responsibility  | 

• Professional management of the European supply chain functions (strategic purchasing, operational purchasing, supplier development)

• Matrix organization with reporting lines to European and global functional managers

• Building, developing and coaching a high-performing team

• Fostering an open communication and team culture

• Ensuring the implementation of global procurement strategies

• Developing new suppliers to support local and global needs

Strategic Purchasing & Supplier Management  |

• Managing requests for new and existing materials (approx. 700 items per year)

• Identification, selection and development of suitable suppliers

• Conducting price negotiations with strategic partners

• Creation and maintenance of framework agreements

• Review and approval of price changes in coordination with the sales department

 


 


Supply Chain Koordination |

• Main contact person for MCZ systems and data maintenance

• Support with delivery date deviations and disruptions in the supply chain

Master Data & Compliance  |

• Maintenance of supplier master data in the E1 system

• Preparation of monthly reports in accordance with SOX requirements

• Support and contact person for external audits (e.g. EY)

Indirect purchasing  |


• Responsibility for the procurement of indirect materials at the  Malterdingen site

• Management of external service providers (e.g., facility services)

• Review and approval of invoices and transfer to SSC

Asset- & Infrastrukturmanagement |

• Management of the company vehicle fleet (leasing, procurement, returns)

• Management of IT hardware (HP) including ordering and returns

• Management of printer and telecommunications contracts

Facility Management |


• Coordination of building cleaning services

• Managing key management and ensuring access control

Key Performance Indicators & Reporting  |

• Responsibility for KPIs such as material productivity, cash flow, supplier quality, sustainability and innovation

• Monthly reporting including measures for continuous improvement

Your profile  |


• Completed studies in the field of supply chain, business administration or comparable

• Several years of experience in supply chain management, ideally in an international environment

• Strong knowledge of strategic purchasing and supplier management

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)

• Excellent English skills; German skills are an advantage

• High level of initiative, analytical thinking and teamwork skills
