Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, LLC, a Yum! Brands Co-op is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join the KFC Concept Development team.
Overview of the Position:
The Supply Chain Manager is part of the Supply Chain team that supports the supply chain for KFC’s 3,600+ restaurants in the US. Hybrid position: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
To be successful in this role, an individual needs to have a background of supply chain related roles which have a blend of collaboration and data analytics, such as project manager, supply chain manager, supply planner, or demand planner. This person will engage with a cross-functional team to bring new products to market and manage the core menu forecast and limited time offer forecasts. Annual oversight is estimated at:
Essential Functions:
Project Management
Collaborate with cross functional partners, suppliers, and distributors to drive projects from test kitchen
concept to commercialization. Key initiatives include new product introductions, limited time offers, product
transitions and other marketing calendar-related initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, quantify, and document the supply chain demands.
Collaborate with supply planners to develop strategies that enable maximum flexibility with minimal financial
risk. This includes planning contingencies, capacity assurance, and ingredient procurement timelines.
Manage supply chain timelines and deliverables of both internal and external stakeholders to ensure flawless
execution of marketing initiatives.
Responsible for communication and presentation of ongoing updates to supply planners, procurement partners,
brand partners, and leadership in a timely fashion.
Ensure key learnings and best practices are captured to support future strategic planning and continuous
improvement.
Demand Planning
Leverage technology systems (primarily Blue Yonder and Power BI) to drive uninterrupted supply:
o Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand marketing activities, gather and input demand plans
into the system.
o Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for assigned core menu items and products.
o Monitor menu sales, rapidly identify forecast misses, coordinate research activities to reconcile
significant variances, adjust plan, and inform stakeholders and leadership.
o Use and maintain demand planning software.
Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization efforts.
Core Competencies
Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis in business or related field. Prefer master’s in supply chain
management or MBA.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ business experience in one or more of the following areas: Demand Planning, Project
Management, Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement.
Prefer APICS CPIM certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, and/or ISM CPS certification.
Prefer experience with food/packaging supply chain planning or project management in the quick serve
restaurant/food service, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
