Your main tasks

• Responsibility for the cross-site organization and ensuring the supply of packaging materials to all Widmann locations
• Creation of demand plans and forecasts based on sales and production data
• Control and optimization of inventory levels, taking into account security of supply and cost-effectiveness.
• Independent procurement of packaging materials, including planning, execution, and evaluation of structured tenders.
• Selection, development and management of national and international suppliers
• Implementation of the requirements of the European Packaging Regulation (PPWR) and monitoring of further regulatory developments
• Developing new packaging solutions together with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Creation and maintenance of packaging items as well as master data management in the ERP system
• Development, evaluation and interpretation of relevant key performance indicators for controlling the packaging supply chain
• Identification and implementation of optimization potential in processes, inventories and material flows
• Close collaboration with purchasing, sales, production, quality management, logistics and controlling

Your profile

• Successfully completed commercial or technical training, e.g. as an industrial clerk, wholesale and foreign trade management clerk or a comparable qualification 
• Professional experience in purchasing, supply chain management, material planning, packaging management or in a comparable function 
• Strong analytical skills and a structured and independent work style. 
• Proficient use of ERP systems and very good knowledge of MS Excel 
• Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor when dealing with suppliers and internal contacts 
• Self-initiative, a sense of responsibility, and enjoyment in continuously developing processes. 
• Good German skills as well as English skills for cooperation with international suppliers
