Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, vendor relations, and shipment coordination. The role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimization, timely deliveries, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements across industrial and its associated operations in UAE and GCC region.

The Supply Chain Manager will:

  • Lead procurement strategies across raw materials, packaging, spare parts, capital machineries, repair and maintenance of plant and transport vehicles, and any other services.
  • Manage inventory levels, implement inventory control procedures, and minimize waste and obsolescence.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and cost negotiations.
  • Ensure alignment with contractual terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate sea, land, and air freight movements of imported items.
  • Supervise freight forwarding, customs clearance, and documentation requirements.
  • Liaise with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure efficient routing and cost management.
  • Monitor stock turnover and reduce inventory holding costs while preventing stock-outs.
  • Coordinate with operations and finance for inventory reconciliation and audits.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the supply chain to improve cycle times and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions and geopolitical risks.
  • Drive digital transformation and automation of supply chain processes.
  • Ensure all logistics and procurement activities comply with local and international trade laws.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits, insurance claims, and internal reporting.
  • Track KPIs across delivery timelines, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Academic Competences: Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Engineering; Master s preferred. Certifications such as CSCP, CPM, or Six Sigma are an advantage. Strong understanding of Incoterms, trade compliance, and international logistics. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and supply chain software/tools.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization and risk mitigation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders across functions and geographies. Proactive problem solver with a hands-on, results-driven approach. High adaptability in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
  • Managerial Competencies: Leadership and team development skills with a collaborative management style. Ability to align supply chain strategy with business goals and operational demands. Proven experience in change management, vendor development, and cost control. Capacity to build strong interdepartmental and external relationships.
  • Experience: 8-12 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement, with 3+ years in a managerial or lead capacity. Experience in commodity trading, manufacturing, shipping, or industrial sectors preferred. Prior exposure to multi-country operations and cross-border regulatory environments.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with industry platforms and chartering tools. Fluent in English; additional language(s) a plus.
