Description Material Handler Coushatta, LA January 2026 Position Summary The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable movement of materials throughout the facility. This position supports Supply Chain as well as Operations by managing the flow of raw materials and finished products, operating equipment, and ensuring that all handling activities comply with established safety, quality, and operational standards. The Inventory Coordinator contributes to the smooth execution of shipping, receiving, and product-loading processes, while maintaining accurate documentation and coordinating with Supply Chain personnel to meet daily tasks and delivery requirements. In this role, the employee helps maintain a clean and safe work environment, performs routine equipment checks, loads and offloads different types of trailers with various materials (WCCF, Pallets, Ingevity, Soda Ash, and GAC). The position also requires strong situational awareness, effective prioritization skills, and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The Material Handler is expected to support broader site objectives, respond promptly to issues, and perform additional duties that contribute to overall success of the company. Duties and Responsibilities Safely load supersacks of Granular Activated Carbon into Box Vans and on flatbeds in accordance with the respective work instructions. Operate capacity truck in safe and proficient manner. Load Ash from silo into ash disposal trailer. Perform pre-trip inspections of Box Vans and/or Bulk Trailers prior to loading and before they ship. Safely unload and handle incoming materials (Raw Materials, Pallets, Totes, etc.) Not inclusive of NABR-Lime-Urea-Phos Acid-Water Treatment Pour up PFR Carbon as necessary. Maintain a safe work environment and maintain housekeeping in assigned areas. Prioritize loading and handling activities for timely and correct product loading. Coordinating activities associated with WCCF deliveries & dry van/flatbed loading. Immediately report any equipment damage to your respective supervisor/Supply Chain. Maintain records for product handling, storage and delivery to customers. Willing and able to work rotating 12-hour shifts. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills, and abilities Ability to read, understand, and interpret written material and instructions. Ability to convey (verbally or in writing) and/or understand clear instructions and accurate descriptive information. Able to work as part of a team. Ability to recognize or identify basic tools and their common uses, and for the ability to accurately read various types of dials, scales, and gauges. Physical Demands Prolonged physical exertion of walking, climbing, bending, stooping, pulling, and pushing Dragging and carrying - equipment/hoses - weights up to 50 pounds and distances up to 100 feet Lifting 25 to 50 pounds several times a day Climbing straight ladders 10+ feet several times a day Climbing stairs up to 120’ above the ground, potentially several times a day Entering confined spaces Wearing a dust respirator and other personal protective equipment Exhibits good hand-eye coordination. Education and experience High School Diploma (must be 18). Valid driver license required.
