Our client is a well-established and growing industrial manufacturing organization located in the Fraser Valley, with a long-standing reputation for designing and manufacturing specialized equipment and innovative solutions for a range of industries.


They are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize the organization's end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring materials, components, and finished goods are available when needed while balancing cost, quality, inventory levels, production requirements, and supplier performance.


Reporting to the Vice President of Operations & Engineering, this role will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Production, Production Control, Sales, and Finance.


Key Responsibilities


Supply Chain Leadership


Lead supply chain functions including planning, purchasing, inventory control, receiving, warehousing, and material logistics.

Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with operational and corporate objectives.

Establish departmental goals, priorities, KPIs, and performance measures.

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the supply chain team.

Manage the annual supply chain budget.

Procurement & Supplier Management


Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and external partners.

Lead supplier negotiations and long-term sourcing strategies.

Manage supplier capacity planning to support current and future production requirements.

Monitor supplier performance, availability, pricing, quality, and delivery.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved supplier performance.

Optimize inventory levels while ensuring production has the materials required to meet customer commitments.

Improve inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse utilization.

Partner with Production and Operations to anticipate material requirements and address potential shortages.

Improve processes surrounding purchasing, receiving, inventory, and internal material movement.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement


Develop and maintain supply chain risk-management strategies.

Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risks that could affect production continuity.

Develop contingency and business continuity plans for key supply-chain risks.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, efficiency, inventory optimization, and operational excellence.

Support trade compliance, contractual risk, and supplier governance initiatives.


Ideally you bring:

10+ years of progressive supply chain experience, preferably within manufacturing.

Previous leadership experience across purchasing, planning, inventory, warehousing, or logistics.

Strong technical purchasing and supplier-management experience.

Experience with cost reduction, inventory optimization, sourcing, and process improvement.

Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Experience identifying and mitigating supply-chain risks.

Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Engineering, Operations, Production, Finance, and Sales.

Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

SCMP / SCMA designation is an asset.

Skilled designation in Risk Management, Operations Management, or Project Management is an asset.
