Supply Chain & Merchandising IT Business Analyst & Product Owner   Location: Fort Wayne, IN Division / Department: Supply Chain Reports to: VP of Supply Chain Travel: Less than 10% The Supply Chain & Merchandising IT Business Analyst & Product Owner partners closely with business leaders, subject-matter experts, and IT development teams to deliver technology solutions that drive operational excellence. This role blends business acumen, systems understanding, and analytical expertise to define, prioritize, and implement capabilities that support supply chain, merchandising, and inventory operations. Acting as a liaison and trusted advisor, this role ensures that technology investments align with business objectives and create measurable value.  Business Partnership & Leadership  * Serve as an IT ambassador to supply chain, merchandising, and cross‑functional business partners, building trust and fostering strong working relationships.  * Develop deep understanding of business processes, operational needs, and system capabilities across distribution, inventory planning, replenishment, and merchandising functions.  * Stay current with technology trends and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, and user experience.  Product Ownership & Backlog Management  * Act as the liaison between business units, engineering teams, SMEs, and technology partners to ensure alignment on goals and requirements.  * Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business needs, functional requirements, and user stories.  * Ensure initiatives have clearly defined objectives, value statements, and measurable outcomes.  * Facilitate refinement sessions to break down epics, prioritize backlog items, and support sprint planning.  * Identify, validate, and communicate acceptance criteria to guide development and ensure quality delivery.  Solution Delivery & Testing  * Develop, manage, and execute test plans to verify that delivered solutions meet business requirements.  * Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across supply chain and merchandising teams.  * Partner with Application Analysts on monthly reviews of support tickets and related enhancements to identify trends, opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.  Knowledge Management & User Support  * Author and maintain Knowledge Base articles to support applications, empower end users, and enable self‑service troubleshooting.  * Support effective training and onboarding of business users for new tools and capabilities.  * Contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and servant leadership within the IT Business Analysis team.  Education & Experience  * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.  * 3+ years of experience improving business processes and systems within supply chain, merchandising, retail, or distribution environments.  * Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban).  * Comfortable operating in small, fast‑paced, collaborative teams.  Skills & Attributes  * Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.  * Ability to identify key stakeholders and partner effectively with business leaders and product owners.  * Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including modeling, mapping, charting, benchmarking, and process design.  * Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflicts, and support change management initiatives.  * Highly self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing tasks under pressure.  * Curious, resilient, and committed to continuous learning and professional growth.  * Practices servant leadership with a balance of humility and confidence.  * Effective at post‑delivery evaluation and assessing solution performance.  Benefits available to you: * Full insurance benefits package including Medical, Dental, & Vision * Paid time off to foster work/life balance * Profit sharing * Bonus Pay opportunities * Retirement funding opportunities * Education reimbursement * Health club reimbursement * Career advancement opportunities About Do it Best: Headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN, the Do it Best Group is the world's largest hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry.
