ABOUT THE ROLE Job Summary: Seeking a proactive and driven Supply Chain Officer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals in supply chain, logistics and procurement management to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Supply Chain Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Key Responsibilities: Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines. Prepare and issue purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery. Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, invoices, and receipts. Assist in planning and coordinating transportation of goods to minimize costs and delays. Track shipments and address any logistical challenges that arise during transit. Support the management of customs clearance processes for import/export goods. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to optimize supply chain processes. Conduct regular inventory audits and manage stock levels to meet operational requirements. Provide support in analyzing supply chain performance and identifying areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Inventory Management: Assist in optimize stock availability to minimize excess and ensure timely delivery. Logistics and Transportation: Assist in coordination of the movement of goods, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation and distribution. Data Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on supply chain data. Procurement: Assist in Sourcing materials and negotiating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Communication: Assist in Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations. · To work on any tasks the supervisor assigns when deemed necessary. Technical Supply Chain skills -Communication- effective all-rounder communication skills. -Teamwork & Negotiation skills – Collaborations in the process with stakeholders. -Demand / Supplier Management- multi-sourcing strategy skills with limited dependency on one supplier. -Order Processing-Well organized order setting, database management. -Inventory Management and Optimization-In stock inventory management- Oversee or handle warehouse inventory through accurate stock recording, timely order processing and stock replenishment, and coordinate workflows to optimize warehouse and supply chain efficiency. -Industry Updates - knowledge of current practices and regulations. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply-Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in supply chain (Procurement, Logistics, Import-Export). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Ability and willingness to travel when required. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. A financial background is a plus. Possession of COC certification is a plus. Technical Skills: Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with inventory management software and working experience in ERP-{D360} systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
