Description
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for planning and maintaining daily supply chain operations across one or more functional areas such as materials planning, production, inventory management, logistics, demand management, customer service, and order fulfillment. This role ensures internal and external customer expectations are consistently met through effective planning, risk mitigation, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires strong analytical capabilities, operational execution, and the ability to work effectively within a global supply chain environment. Key Responsibilities * Execute daily operational planning activities within assigned supply chain functional areas. * Develop and maintain planning system strategies to improve planning signals and supply chain performance. * Monitor, maintain, and adjust planning system parameters to support operational efficiency and inventory optimization. * Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify performance gaps, improvement opportunities, and corrective action plans. * Identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational impact. * Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive short-term tactical improvements and ensure continuity of supply. * Utilize common processes, tools, and information systems to support standardized supply chain operations. * Drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain using planning systems and analytical tools. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional process improvement teams. * Support materials planning, replenishment planning, procurement scheduling, and production scheduling activities. * Manage engineering change requests, part supersessions, obsolescence, and new part releases while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. * Apply Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principles to improve material flow, warehouse management, transportation management, and supply chain efficiency. * Utilize advanced planning and reporting tools such as BI Dashboards, Advanced Planning Command Centre, Excel, SQL, and other analytical systems to support decision-making and root cause analysis. * Work effectively with international suppliers and global teams to support business requirements and customer commitments.
