Description
  • Supporting the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process to ensure efficient and effective business planning – from demand planning and operational planning to financial forecasts. This also includes aligning regional demand forecasts with financial targets and operational parameters to create a unified "consensus plan".
  • Responsibility for end-to-end planning cycles in the supply chain (MRP) using SAP and integrated ION planning to synchronize global production and replenishment plans with inventory checks and customer demand. This also includes operational and transactional processing within the planning systems.
  • Securing business success through the proactive use of "what-if" scenarios and strategic data analysis to optimize customer experience and financial results – also, and especially, in exceptional events such as turnarounds, sales control, and special market or product changes.
  • Management of regional distribution networks and stock levels, including external logistics service providers and terminal/warehouse partners in the areas of truck, rail and sea transport for intermediate products and performance chemicals.
  • Use of data for monitoring, analysis and communication of performance indicators with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization in relation to:

    • S &OP and related processes for managing planning, inventory management, risk management and optimization of the sales network
    • Cost-to-serve management to optimize expenses and cash flow through clear goal setting, cost-benefit analysis and implementation.
    • Customer service standards for optimizing key performance indicators (e.g., OTIF) to ensure high customer satisfaction and delivery reliability.

  • Expert in process and automation improvements, master data management, UAT/system upgrades and the coherent data flow between the existing ERP system and integrated planning tools.

The following qualities qualify you for this task:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or data science is required. APICS certification (CSCP/CPIM) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a significant advantage.
  • Several years of professional experience in supply chain planning, with demonstrable success in a regional or cross-site role.
  • Systems: Sound knowledge of SAP (ECC/APO/IBP) as well as practical experience with ION Integrated Planning or similar integrated planning tools.
  • Analytical skills: Solid knowledge of Power BI (DAX, Power Query) is desirable, as is the ability to tell stories using data.
  • Experience in production planning in the chemical, materials or a similar industry
  • Potential for rapid onboarding and acquisition of new skills in order to adapt flexibly to changes
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure that daily tasks and projects are completed on time.
  • Application of problem-solving skills with the aim of accelerating decision-making processes and achieving sustainable effects.
  • They should possess the ability to assert themselves in a performance- and results-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with regard to collaboration and influence across company levels and functional areas, taking into account global diversity and multicultural backgrounds.
  • The ability to build close relationships and networks with external 3PL/4PL service providers
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
