Job Description BME Fire Trucks is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Coordinator to serve as the point of contact for BOM information, product usage, and parts availability between Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Production. You will proactively verify engineering data against the Bill of Materials (BOM) before a truck enters production, ensuring our Procurement and Warehouse teams receive clean, executable signals. As the Planning Coordinator within the Supply Chain, your responsibilities will include: Proactively compare incoming Shop Orders against BOMs to ensure strict alignment. Verify that components match engineering specifications prior to production to prevent downstream delays. Act as the filter for the Procurement team, consolidating demand signals. Serve as the communication bridge for all Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and shop floor modifications, translating engineering directives into actionable supply chain data. Monitor trucks in varying phases to ensure critical orders are not delayed. Deliver projected timelines for kit pulling, ensuring kits are staged and verified at before assembly needs. Investigate late-stage parts requests to determine root causes. Set and track timelines for when parts must move to external or internal Coatings (Powder Coat/Paint) and coordinate with vendors. Requirements WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: 3+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or project coordination within a heavy manufacturing environment. Ability to read, interpret, and audit complex BOMs, shop orders, and ECOs. Proven track record of navigating cross-departmental operations and resolving scheduling/data conflicts between Engineering, Procurement, and Production. Strong familiarity with ERP systems and inventory allocation processes. Excellent communication skills and a High level of professional maturity.
