QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 3+ years in supply chain, procurement, or sourcing—preferably in technology, hardware components, or AI infrastructure.
  • Hardware Focus: Hands-on experience sourcing AI-relevant hardware like GPUs, high-density server components, or compute infrastructure.
  • Global Ops: Proven ability to manage supply chains across multiple time zones and geographies.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Strong capability in vendor contract negotiation and cost management.
  • Technical Acumen: Comfortable collaborating with engineering/technical teams to understand hardware specifications and roadmaps.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communicator (Bilingual), proactive problem-solver, organized, and adaptable in fast-moving environments.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We’re seeking a skilled Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to drive global sourcing of hardware—especially GPUs, servers, and components essential to AI deployments—from our network of supply partners. This fully remote, globally flexible position plays a critical role in helping Vertical Data maintain its edge in delivering hard-to-find equipment fast.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source & Negotiate: Engage and evaluate suppliers for GPUs, AI servers, and related infrastructure. Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong partnerships with OEMs and component providers. Ensure supplier performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Global Logistics Coordination: Manage order workflows, lead times, shipping logistics, and risk mitigation across regions.
  • Hardware Compliance: Work to ensure that our clients meet compliance requirements for our supply chain. Focus on completing relevant deal documentation in a timely manner.
  • Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales team to align procurement with hardware needs and deployments.
  • Cost & Risk Optimization: Analyze market trends, maintain agility in volatile markets, and mitigate sourcing risks.
  • Process Innovation: Streamline procurement processes—introducing automation, analytics, or digital procurement tools as appropriate.
  • Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure contracts and processes adhere to ethical and legal standards, and explore sustainable sourcing opportunities.
