About the role As a Strategic Sourcing / Commodity Specialist, you will support the sourcing and supplier management activities for commercial HVAC products (chillers). This role focuses on ensuring cost competitiveness, supplier reliability, and supply chain performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Mexico and the United States. You will contribute to sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and procurement processes that ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and supply continuity, while gaining exposure to international operations within a growing HVAC market. Key Responsibilities: As a Strategic Sourcing / Commodity Specialist, you’ll be responsible for: Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for commercial products (chillers) focused on cost, quality, and supply assurance. Leading cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Finance, and Manufacturing to improve sourcing efficiency and reduce costs. Analyzing supplier capabilities, price proposals, and risk factors in alignment with the RFQ process. Monitoring supply chain performance through KPIs such as SOTD and COTD and supporting initiatives to improve supplier performance and resilience. Managing supplier relationships, identifying new components or sources, and ensuring on-time delivery and supply continuity. Requirements We are looking for people who are analytical, collaborative, and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with cross-functional and international teams. As a minimum you must have: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related administrative fields (LNI, IMA, IIA or similar). 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, or quality. Experience working with Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or BPCS. Intermediate to advanced English with conversational ability for international collaboration. Strong skills in data analysis, blueprint interpretation, and quotation evaluation. Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: Experience supporting RFQ processes and supplier negotiations. Understanding of strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement processes.
