Jet Avion Corporation is located at HEICO’s corporate headquarters in Hollywood, Florida and specializes in the supply of various platforms of aircraft and engine PMAs.  Our products and capabilities vary from cabin interiors to highly complex power plant and accessory parts.   ROLE: The Supply Chain Quality Engineer is responsible for the management and execution of the company's supply chain strategy. These responsibilities include inventory control, supplier identification/management, demand management and cost control. This role will interface extensively with external and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination with all contributors to the supply chain function. It will entail continuous, tactical execution (Purchasing / Inventory Transactions) together with continuous improvement as well as management of processes and procedures to ensure optimal supply chain performance. This individual must be self-motivated with the ability to set clear goals, manage issues and escalate when necessary to achieve results meeting tight deadlines.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: * Ability to understand manufacturing drawings, aerospace standard specs, and quality requirements to operate as the liaison between suppliers, quality dept. & engineering dept. to ensure compliance as well as timely resolution of issues * Ability to assess suppliers based on manufacturing capabilities to match with best potential production opportunities and financially analyze those business opportunities * Manage the RTV (Return-to-Vendor) process and aid in the resolution of technical issues to streamline parts back into stock * Supplier identification and management from request for quotation to delivery acceptance including price negotiation/scheduling * Inventory management and coordination to minimize excess material as well as maximize order fulfillment * Data analysis to uncover trends/deviations to thereby facilitate proactive inventory, supply chain and demand management * Drive effective & timely communication between upstream/downstream stakeholders to ensure optimal supply chain performance, agility and flexibility * Proactively seek opportunities for improvement as well as innovation within the supply chain in addition to the relationships between the supply chain and other business functions * Ability to understand manufacturing processes, root cause and corrective action identification to rectify and monitor manufacturing progress of parts to enable improved supplier delivery performance * Understand and be able to manage multi-level bill of materials through the entire WIP process * Travel will be required on occasion * Perform other duties, as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: As assigned by Manager Qualifications   EDUCATION * High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required * Bachelor's Degree in Procurements, Materials Management, Logistics, Engineering, science or business related degree from an accredited college/university preferred.   EXPERIENCE * Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations orientated roles with relevant experience in supply chain management, purchasing or materials management role. * Proven record of supply chain achievement and in the application of purchasing and materials management best practice. Excellent interpersonal skills are required together with an ability to lead and participate in a team environment.     KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES * Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and strict attention to detail. * Ability to set clear goals, manage issues and escalate when necessary to achieve results. * Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadlines. * Ability and desire to develop beyond this role as business requirements dictate. * Ability to read and understand technical specifications and drawings. * Proficient in all MS Office applications with an emphasis on MS Excel. * Working knowledge of manufacturing and production processes preferred. * Aerospace/Aviation experience preferred * Experience with QMS systems including ISO9001 or AS9102 preferred * Proven record of purchasing achievement and in the development and application of supply chain and materials management best practice. * Excellent interpersonal skills are required together with an ability to lead and participate in a team environment.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS  While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
