MISSION BRIEF

As part of the Quality Engineering team, the primary purpose of the role is to ensure and improve supply chain quality and internal control activities by enforcing quality management policies, procedures and implement new approaches.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

• Focal point for all quality matters involving external suppliers
• Supplier Quality evaluation & development

Continuous improvement and maintenance of Supplier Quality System

• Develop supplier qualification & selection processes, based on process capability & capacity assessments, risk assessment & analysis and system & process audits for the relevant suppliers

Evaluation of suppliers

• Development and maintenance of a reliable system for evaluation of the suppliers
• Communication of the assessment to Vice President POQ, Manager Quality Engineering, Supply Chain Manager and to the responsible supplier

Surveillance

• Periodic checks, audits and compliance assessment of the suppliers
• Handling and communication of non-conformities on parts, assemblies and relevant processes from external manufacturers, if such discovered during surveillance activities

Individual Specialization

• This could include Incoming goods inspection improvement, statistics and analytics, Change Management, Configuration Management, Process KPI´s and so onWill be defined with individual in their development plan

QUALIFICATION CHECKLIST

• University degree in engineering, management or related fields
• At least five years of relevant work experience in Quality Management, compliance in the Aviation & Aerospace industry desirable
• Experience in Supply Chain Management
• Experience with cause-effect analysis and problem-solving methods (5 Why Analysis, 8D Reports, Fish bone/Ishikawa Diagrams)
• Good knowledge of AS 9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 and having Internal Auditor certification
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Flexibility to travel
• Fluent in English and German
