Description

Overview of the Position: The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the supportability of customer requirements, and inventory turns through supply chain management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Review requirements to determine and perform the necessary course of action, including: sourcing, purchasing, expediting, de-expediting, and cancellation. * Research, recommend, and negotiate best practice procurements. * Prepare requests for quotes, purchase orders, and purchase order change notices. * Ensure purchases are compliant with customer flow downs. * Work closely with vendors to develop and maintain strategic relationships. * Review necessary data and ensure adequate supportability is maintained. * Negotiate pricing for best value and strategic wins. * Resolve issues internally and externally through effective communication. * Monitor inventory levels and supportability. * Perform other duties as assigned. Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong database, spreadsheet, analytical and negotiation skills. * Fluent with Microsoft Office suite of products. * Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications. * Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations is preferred. * Self-starter. * Strong communication skills. Qualifications Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree and/or one year of experience. Aerospace Industry experience a plus.
