Position Summary The Supply Chain Specialist supports day-to-day supply chain operations, including purchasing, production planning, inventory control, and coordination with suppliers, production, warehouse, and logistics teams. This role plays a key part in ensuring raw materials and finished goods flow efficiently through the operation, inventory accuracy is maintained, and service levels are met. The position also contributes to cost control initiatives, supplier performance monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts across the supply chain. Operational Support Print and organize production schedules and necessary support documents for use by the operations team. Collaborate with Operations in maintaining a well-organized system in which all parties are aware of responsibilities and objectives. Review and upload necessary shipping and receiving documents such as BOLs and COAs in coordination with the warehouse team. Assist in the resolution or escalation of errors in the shipping and receiving process where necessary. Purchasing & Supplier Coordination Execute purchasing activities within the ERP/MRP system, including creation and processing of purchase orders and assisting in maintaining a clean ERP system. Assist in material sourcing as needed under the direction of the planning department. Interface with vendors to ensure timely delivery, resolve issues, and maintain accurate order status. Support identification and evaluation of alternate sourcing opportunities. Assist with quarterly vendor performance reviews and reporting. Inventory Management Support inventory oversight for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Coordinate and participate in inventory counts; investigate and help resolve discrepancies. Maintain inventory accuracy through daily data review and integrity checks. Assist with system updates as new projections are created. Support adherence to stock policies and inventory best practices. Systems & Continuous Improvement Maintain and utilize ERP tools to support purchasing, planning, and inventory efficiency. Assist in reviewing current processes and identifying opportunities to improve workflows, accuracy, and service levels. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain, inventory control, and data integrity. Requirements Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, or logistics. Food manufacturing environment is required. Working knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and ERP systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems required.
