An Supply Chain Specialist at Pure Storage is responsible for buy-sell, supporting inventory operations within the broader Supply Chain Execution team. Key duties and requirements, as indicated by internal development plans, process documentation, and team structures, include: Key Tasks and Responsibilities: ● Buy-Sell Management: Strategically buying materials and selling, performing system transactions, managing material risk, improving agility, and ensuring supply continuity, and real-time collaboration with contract manufacturers. ● Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand, and ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer needs. ● Transportation and Logistics: Coordinating transportation and warehousing, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery. ● Supply Chain Optimization: Identifying inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and developing strategies to enhance supply chain performance. ● Data Analysis: Analyzing supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions. ● Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities. Required Skills: ● Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. ● Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues efficiently. ● Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration. ● Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers. ● Organization and Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously with attention to detail. ● Proficiency in relevant software: Familiarity with supply chain management software (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Oracle), Google workspace tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Education and Experience: ● A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is generally required. ● Experience in a supply chain role, often with a minimum of 3-5 years. ● Relevant certifications, such as the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), may be an advantage.
