S&S Firestone, Inc. is now searching for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to work at the Corporate Office in Lexington, KY. Department: Supply Chain Job Status: Full Time/Exempt Reports To: Director of Supply Chain Amount of Travel Required: Limited travel required/rarely Position Summary The Supply Chain Specialist performs a variety of duties associated with purchasing and supply management. The primary responsibilities include managing inventory and supply sources, purchasing products to support anticipated demand, and product procurement with tire manufacturers for all locations to manage inventory, managing supply sources, and purchasing products to support anticipated demand. The position will also assist all locations with inventory control, cycle counts, and other inventory-related issues or opportunities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Monitors inventory levels in various US locations for warehouse and transfer locations Create purchase orders for current and forecasted demand Works cross-functionally to support teams in meeting customer demands Assists customer service, sales, and operations with their product needs and requests Consistently evaluate product screen movement and A-B-C-D movers Work closely with manufacturers on supply and supply capabilities Perform analysis of inventories by location to help avoid low stock levels as well as overstock Track, identify, and report to Management on items considered to be "slow-moving" and “fast-moving” Develop initiatives to reduce slow-moving items and improve inventory turn rates Analyze causes of inventory issues and assist in providing resolutions, communicating complex inventory issues to Management immediately Additional inventory-related functions as required by the Direct Supervisor or Management Endless Opportunities S&S Firestone, Inc. has big plans for the future, just like you.
