Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Associate Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
  • 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Planning and/or Production Control
  • 1+ years of experience have with organizing, planning, facilitating, and executing customer logistics
  • 1+ years of experience working with forecasting, Supply Chain Software Systems, Supply Chain modeling & Simulation tools, and ERP Systems
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or equivalent work or military experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP)
  • 1+ years of experience working in Supply Chain, Logistics or Material Management Services (MMS)
Responsibilities
  • A self-starter who demonstrates a willingness to accept responsibility and accountability for one’s actions. Exhibits a moral, legal or mental accountability in areas of responsibility.
  • Analyzes post-production data and applies Supply Chain principles to optimize inventory management practices and procedures, reduce costs due to inventory surplus/shortages, and improve overall supply chain efficiency
  • Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies
  • Analyzes supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
  • Identifies Supply Chain alternatives to resolve obsolescence and unplanned emergent issues
  • Analyzes material location and initiates redistribution action
  • Enters, tracks, monitors and coordinates customer material and delivery requirements and customer orders
  • Processes documentation associated with repair items, warranty claims and material returned from customers
