Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the Planning team. Your responsibilities will include supply planning, CPFR processes, interpreting forecasts, managing purchase orders, vendor collaboration, and cross-functional team coordination. The ability to interpret data, leverage analytics to make decisions, and drive change will be essential to your success in this role. Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Define, develop, and manage daily supply planning, purchasing, and inventory optimization needs for a vast assortment of Verizon products and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Manage the demand planning/forecasting process and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Implement solutions that drive benefits to Verizon and identify areas of opportunity for process improvement.
  • Ensure consistent and adequate supply to maintain established service level targets for the entire product portfolio while maximizing working capital.
  • Perform detailed analysis of data from various sources to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional project teams to meet deliverables and strategic objectives.
  • Manage suppliers through Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in day-to-day operations and implement inventory optimization strategies.
  • Performance manage OEM vendors to fulfil contractual obligations regarding PO fulfilment, on-time delivery, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Strategically adjust inventory levels based on market conditions, promotions, and demand fluctuations.
  • Communicate launch readiness supply plans to senior leadership and address supply health concerns during S&OP processes.
  • Utilise the IBP planning system to generate weekly buy plans and maintain SKU setup information and system settings in master data. Perform weekly inventory valuation and projection using system tools and templates.
