Strategic Sourcing Manager Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies and projects to optimize value, balance cost of acquisition and cost of possession, and maximize working capital. Expected to manage workload and spend of over tens of millions of dollars across all Arrowhead Engineered Product locations and 3 distinct business segments.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
BS in Supply Chain Management, Distribution, or Engineering Preferred
7+ years of supply chain experience within a similar industry preferred.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
Partner with product management, sales, operations, finance, and other internal stakeholders to develop strategic projects including new product development, product line extensions, and cost reduction.
Perform complex financial and cost analysis for projects and financial justifications and contribute to the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction efforts and initiatives to achieve the benefits.
Develop a project schedule and effectively implement and manage a multitude of projects in varying stagesand ensure accurateand timelyreporting of all projects and activities and their P&L relevance
Cultivate and maintainstrong relationships with key suppliers. Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and consistency of supply.
Continuously monitormarket trends, negotiate terms and pricing agreements, and identifycost-saving opportunities. Implement best practices to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
Develop risk mitigation strategies to mitigate potential disruptions such as geopolitical, economic, or environmental factors.
Oversee the negotiation and management of supplier contracts, including terms and conditions, service level agreements, and performance metrics.
Identifyand report obstacles and challenges to leadership that constrain attainment of company objectives. Must be able to provide alternative solutions to overcome challenges.
Utilize data-driven insights to make informed sourcing decisions. Implement analytics tools and KPIs to track and measure sourcing performance.
Identifyopportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the sourcing function. Implement best practices and drive innovation.
Generate and present supplier performance metrics to suppliers and manage associated corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives, such as VA-VE and lead time reduction programs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards. Drive sustainability initiatives, such as responsible sourcing and environmentally friendly practices.
