We are looking for you to join our team as a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.
This position is dynamic and challenging, requiring ingenuity, collaboration, and an insatiable drive to make the impossible possible. What you get to do:

  • Sourcing and procuring specialized goods and services.
  • Owning contractual management for the supplier.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-users.
  • Prepared bid packages, conducted bidder conferences, and analyzed and evaluated proposals. Negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting or recommending subcontractors, writing awards, and administering resulting subcontracts.
  • Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services
  • In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as the supplier’s ability to support required delivery schedules.
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
  • Manages the performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures, including import/export regulations.
  • Employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.
  • Manage and develop strategic/key suppliers. Review and approve supplier payments as needed.
  • Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong strategic, innovative, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have proficient knowledge in MS Office suite, including MS Teams, OneNote, and Excel.
  • Have advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas, and building reports.

Basic qualifications for the Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Finance.
  • 2 or more years of professional experience in supply chain management, business & financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing. 0 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree.
  • The ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications for the Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Finance
  • Experienced leadership skills as well as the ability to multitask in a challenging environment.
  • SAP database experience.
  • Experience with Power BI Report Server
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR
  • Active DOD security clearance
