POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and managing a team to ensure the effective delivery of all supply chain work programmes. This role requires a strong focus on operational excellence, team performance, and continuous improvement, while ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of materials. The successful candidate will join a team of supervisors responsible for inbound logistics, outbound distribution and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team in the safe, efficient, and cost-effective handling, storage, and delivery of materials, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Utilise systems such as EWM/SAP to manage inventory, maintain accurate stock levels, and conduct regular stock takes and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate material logistics between Dublin Supply Stores Warehouse, Logistic Team and Depots, including emergency response during critical events (e.g. storms).
  • Drive process improvements, support key projects, and ensure alignment with operational goals and environmental standards.
  • Set and monitor team and individual performance goals, providing coaching, support, and task allocation to optimise productivity.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promote open communication, and encourage a collaborative team environment.
  • Monitor progress and manage information flow, ensuring timely reporting and effective decision-making across the team and organisation.
  • Manage contractor partnerships to maintain performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across supply chain operations
