Job Details Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Summit Medical Center is seeking a Supply Coordinator to join our Materials Team. The position is full-time and available at our Edmond hospital. Position Summary: Under the direction of the Materials Manager, acts as a liaison between the materials manager and the hospital staff to maintain par level locations and facilitate daily shipping and receiving. Summit Medical Center's staffing is based on a teamwork model. Employees may be cross-trained in other administrative areas and may be expected to perform duties beyond their usual roles as staffing and patient needs change. Responsibilities: Maintains inventory par levels in assigned areas. Communicates daily supply needs to assure supply quantities are constant Ensures that purchase orders are received daily. Maintains a good working relationship with the center’s vendors Ensures that all department dispersal is completed daily. Keeps the Materials Manager informed of all stock level problems Understands the center’s purchasing policies, including knowledge of vendors, instruments, and supplies, as well as shipping and receiving protocols Performs other duties as assigned or requested Maintains established center/departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Maintains confidentiality of patient and center-related business Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with patients, families, visitors, and other center employees Maintains confidentiality of patient and center-related business Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with patients, families, visitors, and other center employees Documents concisely, precisely, and accurately on all records or documents as indicated by policy Participates in Quality Assessment activities as directed for the continuous improvement of patient care and center business Qualifications Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum 1 year’s experience with clerical and/or inventory management Must be alert, honest, and of good character Special Skills and Knowledge: Principles of materials management Care and handling of surgical instruments Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
