We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to provide a care and education program for young children and their families in a group setting under the direction of the centre’s Executive Director. The centre is looking to fill positions for both full-time and part-time RECEs. Positions are permanent and include health benefits.

The St. George Children’s Center is a nonprofit corporation, that has provided the highest quality of childcare to the community of St. George for nearly 35 years. This licensed childcare centre provides a warm and nurturing environment for children aged 18 months to 12 years.
SGCC is overseen by a governing Board of Directors. All RECE’s report directly to the Executive Director and/or Assistant to the Executive Director.
As an RECE at the centre you will contribute to the planning and implementation of programs and provide high quality child care in a warm and inclusive environment for children age 18 months to school age. Starting wage is $24.00/hour for RECEs and $22.50/hour for non-RECEs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have up to date Criminal Reference/ Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Current and valid CPR and First Aid
  • Proficiency with technology is an asset
  • Must be able to contribute to and help maintain an inclusive and collaborative team work environment
  • 2+ years’ early childhood education experience an asset
