POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated High School Teacher to join our team. As a High School Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of young individuals and preparing them for their future endeavors.
Are you passionate about shaping young minds and fostering a love for mathematics? We are seeking a dedicated High School Math Teacher to join our team and inspire students in grades 11 and 12, with occasional teaching responsibilities for grades 9 and 10. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Ontario curriculum and possess OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) certification.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Math or a related field.
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification or eligibility for certification is preferred.
  • Experience teaching high school mathematics, preferably in grades 11 and 12.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum expectations for Mathematics.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Ontario curriculum expectations for Grade 11 and Grade 12 Mathematics courses.
  • Passion for Math education and a commitment to fostering inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to effectively plan and deliver instruction.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Experience in teaching high school students preferred.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Knowledge of special education practices is beneficial.
