Description

Mission
Own the truth of stock and the flow of materials. Forecast raw demand, buy smart, receive right, bin accurately, and close work orders daily so production never waits and traceability is audit‑ready.
Outcomes (first 90 days)
· WO Closeout: 100% of work orders issued/consumed and closed same day; < 2 exceptions/week.
· Inventory Accuracy: ≥ 99.2% by count, ≥ 98.5% by value.
· Supplier OTIF: ≥ 95% on-time, in-full (against supplier-confirmed dates).
· Kitting Readiness: ≥ 98% of next‑day WOs fully kitted by T‑1 day.
· Stockouts: 0 raw stockouts that impact the locked production schedule.
· Cycle Counts: A items weekly, B biweekly, C monthly; 100% location coverage per month.
· Traceability: Mock recall completed within 120 minutes from FG lot → raw lot mass balance.
Responsibilities
Planning & Buying - Build and maintain a 13‑week raw‑materials plan from the production schedule; explode BOMs, apply yield loss, and time‑phase demand. - Set safety stock (SS) and reorder points (ROP)with ABC service levels; publish a Monday Buy List. - Convert plan to POs; secure acknowledgments within 24 hours; manage expedites, alternates, and risk.
Inventory Control & Bins - Own item master data (UoM, pack, MOQ, lead time, supplier, primary bin). - Define bin architecture (primary/overflow, staging, quarantine); enforce FIFO/FEFO. - Run cycle counting with count‑back and root‑cause correction; prevent negative stock.
ERP & Label/Scanning Discipline (ERPAG) - Issue/return materials to WOs and close daily; configure backflush rules where applicable. - Maintain barcode standards for receiving, put‑away, kitting, and FG labeling; ensure every move is scanned. - Build dashboards: Below ROP, POs due in 7 days (unacknowledged), Open WOs >24h, Count variances.
Receiving & Floor Flow - Book inbound slots, verify COAs/lot/expiry, and put away within 2 hours of receipt. - Create WO staging bins and kitting checklists; support production changeovers.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement - Keep GFSI‑level traceability current; manage holds/quarantine/rework transactions. - Lead monthly mass‑balance checks and Kaizen actions on top variances and supplier performance.
Day‑to‑Day
· 08:30 Daily materials stand‑up: red‑yellow‑green for the next 10 days.
· 10:00 Update 13‑week plan; issue Monday Buy List (weekly); chase PO acknowledgments.
· 13:00 Cycle counts (A/B/C rotation) and variance investigation.
· 15:00 WO close check; clear exceptions and fix root causes (UoM, pack sizes, scrap codes).
· Ad hoc: Expedite decisions, alternate sourcing, label/scanner maintenance.
Qualifications
Must‑Haves - 3–5 years in materials planning + inventory control in food/C.P.G. with lots/expiry (GFSI environment preferred). - Hands‑on ERP experience (ERPAG or similar) and strong Excel/Sheets (lookups, pivots, basic stats for SS/ROP). - Proven cycle‑count program delivering ≥98–99% accuracy; barcode/batch/lot discipline. - Clear communication, supplier negotiation, and floor presence; forklift familiarity an asset.
Nice‑to‑Haves - Basic scripting/automation mindset (triggers, imports, label templates, scanners). - Lean/5S/Kaizen exposure; mock recall leadership.
Tools
· ERP: items, BOMs, WOs, POs, bins, dashboards
· Label/Scanning: Handheld barcode scanners, label designer/printing
· Planning: Google Sheets/Excel 13‑week planner with SS/ROP
30/60/90 Expectations
0–30 (Stabilize) - Clean aged open WOs; lock primary bins; publish the first 13‑week plan; start daily shortages huddle.
31–60 (Systemize) - Load SS/ROP for A/B items; turn on min/max where suitable; implement Monday Buy List cadence; launch OTIF scorecards.
61–90 (Optimize) - Reduce expedites by 50%; complete a full mock recall ≤120 minutes; present monthly scorecard and corrective actions.
Success Metrics (owned by this role)
· OTIF (supplier) %, Inventory Accuracy %, Negative Stock events, Days of Supply by ABC, Kitting readiness %, WO close same‑day %, Cycle count coverage %, Mock recall time.
Work Conditions
· On‑site role in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment; mix of office and warehouse floor time.
· Ability to lift up to ~20–25 kg occasionally; forklift certification is a plus.
Compensation
· Competitive salary with performance bonus tied to OTIF, accuracy, and WO close KPIs; benefits package.
How to apply: Send a short note with a one‑page example of a 13‑week materials plan you’ve built, plus two supplier references that speak to OTIF improvement.
