This Position reports to:
Supply Chain Manager - System Drives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role you will be responsible for Supply Planning and Procurement at ABB Motion High
Power in New Berlin, WI, where you will be a key member of the Supply Chain
Management team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will manage short- to
midterm material availability by working closely with our suppliers as well as our
sourcing, planning and fulfillment, logistics, quality and production teams.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

YOU WILL BE MAINLY ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Secure material availability by proactively managing the supply network.
  • Manage supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolveperformance issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable andreliable supply of materials.
  • Coordinate and monitor open purchase orders; reschedule orders when needed.
  • Manage supplier buffers and optimize ABB inventory.
  • Proactively work with Planning and Fulfillment to optimize MRP strategies andparameters (planning strategy, lot size, safety stock, reorder point, reschedulinglogic).
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide updateson inventory status, delivery schedules and potential issues.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering or equivalent with2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in using SAP or other ERP software as well as MS Office Suite.
  • Experience building strong external relationships.
  • Strong data analytics with Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural, global business environment.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spokencommunication skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to workfor ABB in the US.
