Description

Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, LLC, a Yum! Brands Co-op is currently seeking a Supply Planner to join the Central Planning Team.
The supply planning team is accountable for ensuring supply continuity for the +$7B in critical Yum! Brand food and packaging components which support 16,000+ restaurants and $20B in revenue across Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell in the United States.

This position will engage with a broad set of teams to plan and execute inventory strategies that assure supply across both promotional and base business, as well as resolve supply disruptions. Responsibility will encompass approximately:

  • One hundred Food and Packaging Items ($750M-1B Annual Spend)
  • 25 Supplier, plant, and/or item specification transitions annually

Hybrid Position - 3 days in the office, 2 days remote

Essential Functions

For all items assigned:

  • Assure supply across core and promotional sales, leveraging technology systems (Blue Yonder) to create and

execute supply plans and adjust fulfillment forecasts as needed.
o Collaborate with suppliers, distributors + redistributors, internal procurement team, and concept hub teams
to ensure consensus understanding, preparedness, and execution.
o Maximize supply flexibility while minimizing cost implications and risk of obsolescence; ensuring the right
products/ingredients are in the right location and at the right time.
o Monitor and account for capacity utilization; mitigate risk of product expiration; maintain network inventory

targets; resolve fulfillment plan inaccuracies.

  • Accountable to communicate and provide ongoing updates to internal procurement team, hub program management

teams, and leadership in a timely fashion.

  • Identify near- and long-term core supply capacity risks; evaluate demand and supply scenarios, develop

contingencies, and execute mitigation efforts.

  • Coordinate supply for core product tests, onboarding/closure of production facilities, new lines at existing

facilities, new product specifications and value creation initiatives.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization efforts for supply optimization and technology

systems (Blue Yonder)

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer a major in Supply Chain or Supply Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Business experience, including two or more years of experience in Supply/Fulfillment

Planning, Sales & Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Distribution, or Inventory Management.

  • Prefer experience coordinating a supplier base or product distribution, especially as related to food and/or

packaging.

  • Prefer APICS CPIM certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, or ISM CPSM certification.
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and attention-to-detail.
  • Problem Identification and resolution.
  • Process Orientation (leverage, design, and continuous improvement)
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Data Analysist (system-based and ad-hoc).
  • Teamwork (cooperation, collaboration, and trust in positive intention)

  • Strong understanding of the supply chain processes including manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
  • Presentation skills geared at the Director/VP levels.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel (extremely comfortable modeling, analyzing, and manipulating data),

PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

  • Prefer experience with Blue Yonder Fulfillment Module or experience with another enterprise supply chain

planning solution (ie: Oracle, SAP, Logility)
