EXPERIENCE

  • A full, valid UK driving license, a current MOT certificate, and valid personal insurance that covers Business Use.
  • Access to your own reliable vehicle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the role.
  • Willingness to undertake training, such as Sighted Guiding.
  • Must have internet access and a mobile phone for remote working.
  • A caring attitude and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this position.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a proactive and empathetic Support Assistant to assist professional clients with their daily work and responsibilities.
This is a unique opportunity to provide personalised support that enables our clients to navigate their professional roles successfully. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, adaptable individual who understands the challenges of sight loss and is enthusiastic about making a real difference.
The position can be part-time or full-time (minimum 18, maximum 30 hours per week, with some flexibility for additional hours as required) and is based in a blended work environment that includes remote work, office visits, and travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Driving the clients to various work-related sessions and events.
  • Providing administrative support, including taking notes and using databases.
  • Guiding the clients while they participate in activities, groups, and events.
  • Working in accordance with GDPR and policy requirements.
  • Assisting with other duties as needed.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
  • Drive to client locations as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
