Embrace Housing is a not-for-profit organisation providing support to females across Bedfordshire. We are currently looking for Support Care Workers to join our team located in Houghton Regis. Due to the nature of the role it is essential for applicants to be drivers. This role will support 1 young female with a range of challenging social and emotional needs.
If you are an Emotionally Available Adult who enjoys working with young people, we would love to hear from you. The Support Care Worker role includes sleep in and waking nights to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our young person.
Support Care Worker Duties include:
Working shifts which include evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Care and supporting our young person with the activities they enjoy, such as shopping, going on walks around the area, attending education and riding stables.
Collaborating with colleagues, families and professionals to ensure the young person receives a coordinated and consistent service
Support our young person to manage all aspects of their home environment and to be mindful you are working in her home, so providing nurture and guidance.
Supporting the young person when she becomes unregulated and have an understanding of her needs and wants in these difficult, challenging times.
Cooking and meal preparation.
Maintaining a safe clean environment.
At least 2 years experience is essential for this role, training will also be provided. You must be able to demonstrate a warm and caring personality with a positive and proactive approach to the role.
