Description

Responsibilities Undertake technical support and design services on maintenance, asset renewal, modification, enhancement works and technological applications for railway high voltage power supply and overhead line systems, including ancillary equipment and emergency power supplies of all operational lines Manage major asset renewal project’s design, conduct technical/numerical studies, review consultant/contractor ’s design submissions with recommendations for a safe and reliable system Assist in fault investigations, compile technical reports, conduct site inspection, risk assessment & technical audits, and recommend improvement initiatives in accordance with statutory requirements and international / engineering standards Participate in the testing and commissioning activities of new technological applications, capital works and operations projects Consolidate tender specifications, support tender process and evaluation Maintain the as-built drawings and the drawing database for operations and maintenance Requirements Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in 11kV or above in High Voltage/ Traction power supply or/and Railway Overhead Line system Possession of Grade B0, H0 Certificate of Registered Electrical Workers is preferred Be self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently Good command of written English or simplified Chinese is an advantage Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered Applications You are invited to apply online via Careers at MTR or send in your CV stating the position (with reference number) you are applying for by mail to Human Resource Management Department, MTR Corporation, G.P.O.
