We have two positions open on our engineering team and we’re looking for someone to bring us new ideas to add value for our customers and industry. Summary/Objective The mission of the Engineering Team is to ensure that the products we make are safe, meet all specified material properties, are correctly designed / specified, and when needed repaired.  The Support Engineer owns the relationship between PWT Engineering, our distribution partners, and the consulting Engineers we use to meet our customers’ needs.  The focus is on identifying the customers’ needs and then developing the engineered solution that meets that need. Location  Remote- US The employee must live in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Conneticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Washington Reports to Director of Engineering Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. * Provide technical support to PWT sales and customers. * Respond to designquestions. * Develop engineeredsolutions tocomplex design conditions. * Meet or exceed the Engineering Service Level Agreement (SLA). Required Education and Experience * Bachelorsin engineering. * EITCertification * Light frame construction experience desirable * Experience in design of EWP products (I-Joist, LVL, LSL, PSL, GLB)desirable. * Knowledge of current codes is critical.
Responsibilities
The Support Engineer provides technical support to sales and customers while developing engineered solutions for complex design conditions. They manage the relationship between PWT Engineering, distribution partners, and consulting engineers to ensure product safety and specification accuracy.
