Every MSP has one. Knows everything, shares nothing, and makes asking for help feel like a confession. This team doesn't have one, and they interview to keep it that way.
If you're two or more years into Level 2 support, comfortable across M365, networking and a bit of infrastructure, and you'd rather work where people pitch in than where people protect their patch, keep reading.
Introvert, extrovert, neurodiverse. None of it matters here. What counts is the values, and the team is the proof: every personality you can think of, all getting on, because mutual respect is the only entry ticket. If you've never quite fitted the mould at other shops, that's not a mark against you.
You'll sit in a small team of engineers that runs like its own MSP. You know everyone, you turn around and ask, and either someone has the answer or you all work it out together. Behind that team is a company with proper HR, a training budget with your name on it, and a Christmas party worth going to. Small team, big backing.
What your week looks like
Getting paid to get better
Forty hours of paid business time a year to study. Exams and courses paid for, and a cash bonus when you pass.
These roles exist because a new senior team was created and support engineers were promoted into it. Nobody is promising you a timeline, but the path is real and it's been used this year.
About the company
A Perth MSP big enough to have specialists and structure, run in small teams so it doesn't feel like it. The values on the wall are the ones they interview for.
What you'll bring
This is one of three Level 2 roles I'm working on across Perth MSPs right now, one of them hybrid. If this one isn't quite you, apply anyway and we'll talk about the others.
