Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an energetic, talented, and forward-thinking Support Equipment Integration First-Line Manager that can partner with an experienced First-Line Manager to ensure flawless execution across a large portfolio of Platforms/Programs/Contracts.
This leader will ensure appropriate team staffing, deliver high-quality results that meet program commitments, identify and pursue process improvements, and grow the portfolio through new business opportunities. This role will focus on overseeing the Support Equipment integration support system for multiple domestic and international programs, and successfully managing, developing, and motivating a team of high performing employees. This position will report directly to the Support Equipment Program Chief Engineer and Senior Manager for Support Equipment Integration.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management
  • 5+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related technical field
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Experience with the Boeing procurement process
  • Experience with oversight of suppliers
  • Experience with the Government sell-off (DD250) process
  • Experience with legacy or new production US military aircraft platforms
  • History of positive collaboration with aircraft end users such as the USAF or USN
  • Proven ability to successfully collaborate across Boeing functions (engineering, program management, contracts, finance, supply chain, supplier management, etc.) and business units (BDS, BGS, BCA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Support Equipment hardware and processes including an understanding of typical Program Milestones that drive a need for new/modified/additional Support Equipment
  • Experience with schedule and budget management, integration of all logistics elements, internal and external customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met
  • Experience with U.S. Military or international government aviation and experience partnering with government customers to deliver services and products

SUMMARY PAY RANGE: $123,250 – $166,750

Responsibilities
  • Applies technical knowledge of product support/logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct Support Equipment activities on various Programs.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships and partnerships with customers (internal & external), stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
  • Fosters and encourages open and constructive dialogue amongst multiple different internal and external teams.
  • Provides oversight of employees performing activities related to Program Management across a vast portfolio of platforms.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals as necessary to achieve high performance expectations.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical oversight aiding in management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Supports recovery efforts for beyond and/or off plan situations throughout all phases of the Support Equipment lifecycle.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
