Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Support Pharmacist role located in Dublin. The Support Pharmacist will assist in the safe dispensing of prescriptions, verification of medication orders, and provision of clear guidance to patients on the correct use of medicines. Day-to-day duties include counseling patients, managing repeat prescriptions, supporting medication reviews, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with pharmacy technicians and other team members, overseeing stock control and expiry checks, and ensuring the pharmacy operates efficiently and in line with professional and legal standards. The Support Pharmacist will contribute to a positive, respectful workplace and help deliver high-quality, person-centered service.

Qualifications


  • Recognized pharmacy degree and eligibility for registration (or current registration) with the relevant professional regulatory body.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community pharmacy practice, including safe dispensing procedures, pharmacology, and medication counseling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and support diverse patient needs.
  • Attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and commitment to maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage workload in a busy environment, and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Basic proficiency with pharmacy software systems, electronic records, and routine administrative tasks.
  • Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is an advantage.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on current pharmacy practice and guidelines.
