Description

Working as part of a team the post holder will be required to provide an efficient and effective secretarial service to the team, supporting the delivery of a high quality service to patients and staff.
Applicants must be extremely flexible to meet the needs of the service, have a pleasant personality and a positive approach to their work. Applicants must also have a good standard of education, be adaptable and have good organisational skills.
Sufficient medical secretarial experience and knowledge of the Patient Administration System (WPAS) is essential.
The post holder will provide an efficient high quality typing and administration service to support the medical secretarial team. Support the team in the management of patient’s medical case notes and effective filing system and supporting the patients along the defined patient pathway.
Will undertake and solve routine problems following departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) such as; locating case notes, filing , tracking case notes, addressing waiting list issues, liaising with patients regarding cancellations of clinics using, simple rules and tools, escalates when necessary and will makes judgements involving straightforward work related facts or situations, and escalate any issues when necessary.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
