Description
Position Description PRIMARY PURPOSE: Perform Loading Plastic pellets via spreaders on to railcars with training provided in accordance with work instructions ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Yard Master knowledge • Putting railcars in the system with proper information • Drying, capping and sealing railcars to load • Staging railcars with Trackmobile from one track to the other • Perform all duties safely, effectively and efficiently • Adhere to all company policies and procedures • Participate in daily Safety / Quality talks • Report all incidents and near misses • Perform all daily housekeeping duties including picking up trash in your area, clean up any pills, clean drains and break rooms • Comply with cross training as required • Understand and comply with all safety • Ask questions concerning product integrity, product shortages or equipment quality • Other duties as trained and assigned. Position Requirements EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE / SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to communicate and comprehend clearly, verbally and in writing, in English • Must be able to understand and comply with all requirements for any emergency • Must be able to take direction from supervision and work cooperatively with other people • Must be able to work shift work hours/weekends and Holidays COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic math skills • Basic competency using Microsoft office (Outlook) • Must be able to understand and communicate in English • Must meet physical requirements, including, but not limited to: consistently lifting/carrying and pulling/pushing weights/forces up to 50 pounds, routinely gripping forces of up to 50 pounds, routine walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending and squatting, climbing up/down ladders and stairs/standing/sitting, and negotiating uneven and moving surfaces • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus WORKING CONDITIONS: Will be required to work outside in all types of weather throughout the year • Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed including call outs. • Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines • Applicants subject to background check and drug screening
