Job Details Job Location: The Williamsport Home - Williamsport, PA 17701 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School/GED Job Shift: Day Job Category: Customer Service The Williamsport Home is seeking individuals who possess a passion for serving people to fill a Support Services Assistant role in our Personal Care program. The individual in this role will be required to complete Personal Care Aide training to adequately assist residents during transport. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, primarily 8am-4pm with the potential to vary slightly based on appointment start times. This position is benefits eligible. Position Summary: The Support Services Assistant provides essential support to residents enrolled in the Personal Care Program. This role focuses on assisting with transportation to medical appointments and community activities, coordinating schedules, and supporting residents’ daily care needs to promote safety, independence, and quality of life. Position Responsibilities: Transportation & Escort Services Safely transport residents to medical appointments, personal errands, and scheduled activities. Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles and facilities as needed. Ensure transportation schedules are followed accurately and on time. Maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned vehicles. Scheduling & Coordination Assist with scheduling medical appointments, activities, personal care staff schedules and services. Communicate appointment details clearly with residents, families, and care staff. Maintain accurate schedules, logs, and documentation related to resident transportation and activities. Resident Support & Care Assistance Provide personal assistance and supervision according to individual care plans. Support residents during outings and appointments to ensure comfort and safety. Observe and report changes in residents’ condition, behavior, or needs to appropriate staff. Encourage resident participation in activities and promote social engagement. Perform all other duties as assigned. Program & Safety Compliance Follow all personal care program policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements. Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control and emergency procedures. Maintain professional and respectful interactions with residents, families, and staff. Qualifications Qualifications: Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Previous experience in personal care, senior services, or customer service preferred. Ability to work with older adults and individuals with varying physical or cognitive needs. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to lift, push, or assist residents as needed, in accordance with safety guidelines.
